College Site

The site allocated for the project lies in the industrial zone of the city of Nablus in the vicinity of the Secondary School of Industry, between Balata and Askar refugee camps. It is of rectangular shape of an average length of 263m and average width of 69m covering an area of about 18,000sqm.

The college is designed in a compact building to optimize interactions between various components and to fit in the relatively tight site.

The academic facilities are distributed on three levels with provision for future additional fourth floor. The ground floor is mostly workshops while the two upper levels, comprising classrooms, laboratories, computer rooms and drafting rooms are distributed on three wings. The wings are connected by a main spine comprising offices for academic staff.

The administrative and management functions are located at the first level of a separate wing, easily accessible to students and recognizable by the public.

A multipurpose hall is assigned a prime location and is intended to cater for academic, sportive, social and community events.

Student facilities include a library, cafeteria and an infirmary.

Central stores cater for the College academic and administration needs.

The total gross area of the main building is about 12,500 sqm.
